Black Ops 7 Season 6: 10 Terrifying New Features

Black Ops 7 Season 6

September 9, 2026

Black Ops 7 Season 6 launches September 17, 2026, at 9 a.m. PT alongside the new Warzone season. Called The Haunting, the update adds horror-themed maps, modes, events, weapons and rewards across Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame and Call of Duty: Warzone. Here are the ten biggest confirmed additions from Activision’s official roadmap.

Black Ops 7 Season 6 release date

Season 06 begins on Thursday, September 17 at 9 a.m. Pacific across supported platforms. Players should expect a large update and possible server queues around launch. Install any preload offered by your platform, leave extra storage space and avoid changing important loadouts until the seasonal update is fully applied.

1. Haunted Hollow transforms Warzone

Haven’s Hollow becomes Haunted Hollow, a dark Resurgence battlefield with new routes, supernatural encounters and a ghostly atmosphere. The retheme is more than a color filter: players should learn the changed sightlines and rotation paths before treating old strategies as reliable.

2. Giant Infected returns

The 64-player Giant Infected limited-time mode takes place on Haunted Hollow. Survivors must remain alive long enough to arm and detonate a DNA Bomb while infected players try to overwhelm them. Coordinated movement and controlled ammunition will matter more than chasing individual eliminations.

3. Two new Multiplayer maps

Quantum sends teams into an Arctic computing facility, while Bloodstead leans into the season’s unexplained horrors. Activision also confirms Zombies-themed locations Roadkill, Lost and Inferno for competitive T.E.D.D. Trials. Check the launch playlist because not every mode or map must appear in every rotation.

4. Hordepoint brings infected pressure

Hordepoint mixes objective control with undead interference. A strong class should handle both rival Operators and crowds at close range. Area denial, fast reloads and communication can be more useful than a slow long-range build when the objective becomes crowded.

5. Tenshu expands Zombies

Tenshu is a new Survival map set in the Masaki family’s ancestral castle. The playable area includes the Tenshu Entrance, Onsen Baths, War Room, storage spaces and a workshop. Because it is a confined survival environment, teams should identify loops, escape routes and equipment stations during their first runs.

6. Rogue Run gets a major update

New pedestal rewards include Pack-a-Punch IV, an Ultra-Rarity weapon upgrade and Golden Armor. Casual and Hardcore playlists expand with Paradox Junction and Kowakujō. Players who skipped earlier Rogue Run content can use the easier playlist to understand objectives before moving into Hardcore.

7. Avalon turns dark

Night falls over Avalon in Endgame, changing visibility while Fears, Guild opponents and other threats remain active. The Forbidden Summoning world event also introduces a new enemy encounter. Bring a coordinated squad and complete easier preparation activities before triggering an unfamiliar event.

8. Four new weapons are planned

The VMP SMG and TR51 Para Assault Rifle are free Battle Pass weapons. The Arcblade melee weapon and Roc 20mm special weapon arrive through events and challenges. The VMP favors fast handling and aggressive flanks, while the TR51 should appeal to players who want an adaptable rifle. Exact balance can change in the patch notes.

9. DOOM event rewards arrive

A DOOM-themed Event Pass is part of the season, accompanied by themed content and cosmetics. The separate Camo Costume Party event awards multiple weapon camos and the Arcblade for completing class-based challenges across Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame and Warzone.

10. New Battle Pass and BlackCell content

Blackjack leads the standard Battle Pass, which includes more than 100 rewards and up to 1,100 COD Points. The VMP appears on Page 3 and the TR51 Para on Page 6 as free unlocks. BlackCell adds premium variants and a Revenant Operator, but the two base weapons do not require the premium upgrade.

How to prepare for Season 6

  • Finish urgent Season 5 challenges before the reset.
  • Clear storage space and install the update early.
  • Save a flexible close-range class for Haunted Hollow.
  • Coordinate Zombies and Endgame objectives with a squad.
  • Check the official patch notes for balance changes.
