How We Research and Verify Content

Helpful information, resources, and updates from GameWilds.

Last updated: September 27, 2026. This page describes the practical process GameWilds uses to research, check, and maintain gaming information.

Start with the player’s question

Before writing, we define the exact question the page should answer, the platforms it applies to, and what information a player needs to act safely.

Source hierarchy

  • Primary sources: official game sites, developer posts, publisher support pages, platform documentation, patch notes, and verified social accounts.
  • Supporting sources: reputable reporting and clearly identified community evidence when primary information is incomplete.
  • Rumors: never treated as confirmed facts and included only when useful context justifies it.

Guides and platform information

For installation, crossplay, settings, account, and compatibility guides, we compare current platform requirements and official support instructions. Steps are written in a usable order, and limitations are stated clearly.

Codes and rewards

We look for first-party announcements or in-game confirmation, record redemption requirements, and avoid promising that an unverified or expired code will work. We never recommend password sharing, account generators, surveys, or unofficial payment methods.

Reviews and comparisons

We disclose the basis of a review or comparison and separate observations from confirmed technical facts. Criteria may include usability, performance, features, accessibility, value, and the needs of different players.

Ongoing maintenance

Articles are revisited when major updates, patches, release changes, or code expirations make the information materially different. Readers can report a problem through our Contact page, and verified errors are handled under our Corrections Policy.
