In the United States, direct.playstation.com opens orders at 7:00 a.m. Pacific / 10:00 a.m. Eastern on September 10. In the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, preorders start at 10:00 a.m. local time. Portugal uses PlayStation’s hardware store page. Other regions may use participating retailers and different schedules.
2. Two limited-edition colors are available
Sony revealed a GTA VI Black Limited Edition and a GTA VI White Limited Edition. The white model is designed around bright sands, pastel skies and Vice City’s daytime style. The black version focuses on its nightlife, with darker surfaces and neon-inspired color. Both use a shimmering, color-shifting finish and molded palm-tree details.
3. The black controller has tighter availability
The White Limited Edition will be sold through direct.playstation.com where available and participating retailers. Sony describes the Black Limited Edition as exclusive to PlayStation Direct in supported markets, with select retailers serving other regions. That distinction matters if one color disappears from a local retailer’s listing.
4. Each controller costs $84.99 in the US
The recommended price is $84.99 USD, €84.99, £74.99 or ¥12,480 including tax in Japan. Taxes, shipping and retailer pricing can vary. Sony also notes that eligible direct PlayStation preorders can receive free launch-day delivery, but customers should verify eligibility during checkout.
5. The controllers launch November 19
Both limited editions launch starting November 19, 2026. Sony warns that exact availability can vary by country or region. November 19 is also the announced PS5 launch date for Grand Theft Auto VI, letting players pair the themed hardware with the game on release day if delivery and regional stock align.
6. The designs include more than printed colors
The controllers are not simple color swaps. Sony says the palm-tree details are molded into the shell, adding texture, while the finish shifts color to evoke a Vice City sunset and neon glow. Official GTA VI branding appears on both designs. Product photographs should be checked closely before ordering because colors can look different under various lighting or on different screens.
7. GTA VI uses DualSense features on PS5
PlayStation says haptic feedback and adaptive triggers respond dynamically to the action in Jason and Lucia’s story. The company has not published a complete list of every supported effect, but the features are intended to add resistance and tactile feedback during play. These functions are also available on the standard DualSense, so the limited models are optional collectibles rather than a requirement.
