The GTA 6 release date is November 19, 2026, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S listed as launch platforms on Rockstar Games’ official website. If you are searching for the November 2026 launch, that is the current announced date—not a new release-date announcement made this September.
Last updated: September 2026. This article separates information confirmed by Rockstar Games from rumors and unofficial leaks.

GTA 6 release date
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November 19, 2026. Rockstar announced this target in its November 2025 release-date update, explaining that the extra development time would help with polish. A renewed wave of searches does not, by itself, indicate another delay or a fresh announcement.
Release schedules can change in game development, so players should continue checking Rockstar’s official channels. GameWilds will update this guide if the company announces a revised launch date, preload schedule, or regional release timing.
Which platforms will GTA 6 support?
Rockstar currently lists GTA 6 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC edition has not been included in the confirmed launch-platform announcement, so claims about a PC release date remain speculation until Rockstar provides one.
There is also no announced PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version. Do not buy a version advertised for an unlisted platform on the assumption that it is officially supported. Check the platform named on Rockstar’s website and the corresponding console storefront.

Where is GTA 6 set?
GTA 6 returns to Vice City, Rockstar’s fictional version of Miami, but the game extends far beyond the city. The larger state of Leonida includes coastal communities, highways, wetlands, islands, entertainment districts, and rural areas.
For a closer breakdown of the setting, read our GTA 6 map and confirmed locations guide. The setting appears built to support varied missions and spontaneous encounters. Urban nightlife, beaches, wildlife, social media culture, local personalities, and criminal networks all contribute to a world that feels distinctly inspired by modern Florida.
Who are Jason and Lucia?
Jason and Lucia are the central playable characters. Rockstar describes them as partners forced to depend on each other after an easy score goes wrong and pulls them into a wider criminal conspiracy.
Her relationship with Jason appears fundamental to the campaign rather than a minor side plot. The official material emphasizes trust, survival, robberies, and the pressure created when their plans begin to collapse.
How large will the GTA 6 download be?
Rockstar has not confirmed the final GTA 6 installation size. Searches for 150 GB, 200 GB, or larger estimates are common, but those numbers should not be presented as official.
The final storage requirement may vary by platform, edition, language packs, launch updates, and optional high-resolution assets. Players should wait for the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or Rockstar support pages to display an official figure closer to preload availability.
Will GTA 6 have an online mode?
Rockstar has not yet provided a complete public breakdown of GTA 6’s future online experience. Grand Theft Auto Online remains a major part of the series, but players should not assume launch timing, crossplay, progression systems, pricing, or player counts until Rockstar confirms them.
The safest approach is to separate confirmed single-player information from expectations based on GTA Online. GameWilds will cover official multiplayer details when Rockstar releases them.
Where to watch the GTA 6 extended look
The GTA 6 extended look is available through Rockstar’s official GTA VI page alongside the trailers. Use that page to watch the original presentation rather than relying on reposted clips with claims added by other accounts.
Unofficial clips and claims may be incomplete, outdated, altered, or taken out of context. For accurate coverage, official Rockstar videos, Newswire posts, store listings, and support pages remain the strongest sources.

Before You Preorder or Upgrade Hardware
- Confirm the edition, platform and seller on an official store page.
- Do not buy a console or storage expansion based only on a rumored requirement.
- Wait for final installation-size and performance information if those details affect your purchase.
- Review refund rules before paying for a digital preorder.
- Avoid social posts or countdown pages that present speculation as a new Rockstar announcement.
Release schedules can change. This page reflects Rockstar’s published GTA 6 release date when reviewed and will be corrected if the company issues a new official announcement. A retailer date, anonymous leak or social-media claim does not replace Rockstar’s statement.
